Vida L. Thomas
Vida L. Thomas has practiced labor and employment law since 1993, and litigated employment law cases in state and federal courts for ten years. In addition to advising employers on a host of labor and employment law topics, Ms. Thomas conducts employee training on sexual harassment prevention, as well as other workplace subjects.
Ms. Thomas has conducted countless workplace investigations for private and public employers, and has acted as an expert witness in state and federal courts on the subject of workplace investigations. She currently sits on the board of the California Association of Workplace Investigators (CAOWI), and co-chairs CAOWI's Best Practices Committee.
Ms. Thomas worked in banking before attending law school. She received her bachelor's degree from California State University Sacramento and her Juris Doctor from McGeorge School of Law. She has an AV peer rating from Martindale Hubbell / Lawyers.com.
Susan B. Carlsen
Susan B. Carlsen has practiced labor and employment law since 1986. She advises employers on all types of personnel management issues and consults with employees on a limited basis. She has successfully resolved dozens of complaints of discrimination with state and federal agencies and successfully litigated employment matters on behalf of her clients.
Ms. Carlsen has 24 years of experience investigating allegations of employee misconduct. She is a noted author and public speaker who regularly conducts training on personnel law issues for directors, managers, employees, attorneys, judges and legislators.
A former educator, Ms. Carlsen received her bachelor's degree from Lewis & Clark College and her Juris Doctor from the University of California at Davis. She has an AV peer rating from Martindale Hubbell.
