SB 299: Additional Benefits for Employees on Pregnancy Disability Leave
Starting January 1, 2012, employers must continue group health care benefits for employees
who are on pregnancy disability leave.
The maximum period of pregnancy disability leave and the new benefits continuation requirement is four months.
The employer must maintain the same level of benefits and the same employer contribution as if the
employee were continuing to work her regular schedule.
